PRAYER, UNITY & THANKSGIVING
Australia’s National Day of Thanks is a unique opportunity for Australians to celebrate and give thanks for our God given heritage as a nation, and to demonstrate the values of honour, respect, thankfulness and gratitude towards our fellow man. It is a day for Australians to pause as a nation and say thank you to God and to each other for those many things we often take for granted, those things that really make our lives worth living. Let us use this National Day each year to be a blessing to those who have been a blessing to us.
At the 25th May Illawarra Prayer Breakfast, we are going to take part on this celebration by giving Thanksgiving awards:
Unsung Heroes in your life and community.
Who are they? Find people in your circle of friends and community who help others and are seldom thanked for what they do. For young people it may be someone who always encourages others or looks out for them at school. For others it may be a friend, relative or workmate who has made a difference in their life.
People who contribute in a positive way to the vibrant cultural tapestry of Illawarra.
