Scott Darlow made headlines around the country back in 2018 when his band The Droughtbreakers released Rain, a hit single written to raise money for the Buy-A-Bale scheme to help drought-stricken Aussie farmers.

And now this proud Yorta Yorta man is back with a new single “You Can’t See Black In The Dark”, which was written entirely in one hour while on tour in Hong Kong!

As he was writing, he knew straight away it needed to be a duet, so he reached out to Ian Kenny from Birds of Tokyo. He was pretty nervous to meet him but the pair wrapped up production pretty quickly and got the track onto the airwaves earlier this month.

Not just a musician, Darlow is an Aboriginal educator and speaks in more than 100 schools a year.

“We’ve been shooting videos of stuff that doesn’t get taught because teachers are worried about being politically incorrect. Schools are already using the content and it looks like it is being added to the curriculum.”

Scott shared his opinion on the USA protests and Black Lives Matter movement which you can read here.
